I recently joined the beta program on the Xbox one through Insider Hub. When I attempt to import my main world from the list of available saves it fails. It did the initial file sync that comes up and then it shows the progress bar for updating the world. It seems to reach about 47 or so percent and then it just closes the window and game and drops me at the xbox one dashboard. I was able to import a recently created test world without issue. However the world I am trying and failing to import has the following conditions: file size of about 140 mb in the saves listing, world seed is originally from the xbox 360 and was imported to the xbox one version.
I purchased the Windows 10 version of the game and used it's insider hub version to see if I could run the same import process from my windows desktop but it does not appear to give that as an option.
Are other users having issues with older seeds in this new platform? What information can I provide you about my world and saves to see if this is resolvable? So far in trying to load this world and test with other worlds I have had the program crash numerous times and needed to reinstall the beta Minecraft game on the xbox one. I think that supporting older seeds is still important. Please let me know how I can help. Thank you.

I updated to the newly released non-beta version on the Xbox One last night. When I tried to convert my world it still failed around the 47-50% mark. The game closed itself without error and either went to a black screen or back to the home screen.
I was able to convert a 2 year old copy of my world that was made just after i imported it from the Xbox 360 version. However when I attempt to convert any of the incremental saves that I made after changing the original world size from small to medium the conversion fails. On the older smaller saves the failure happens around 95% converted and behaves the same as the other failures. Once I load Minecraft back up and retry a conversion the process either crashes the game again or occasionally fails immediately and shows an error message about "problem with conversion process, try again later"
So once again I was able to convert an older 360 small size world but not able to convert a copy of that world that had a size change from small to medium.
I do have the same issue. Can't "sync" any of my Xbox one edition worlds into the new version. It says that it couldn't sync with the cloud. And it shows "guest" instead of my account, even when I'm logged to my account...
I was able to convert my Xbox One edition world successfully but once it loads every thing I've built is gone. My inventory is correct but the world seems to have been reset. Also it freezes after taking a couple steps forcing me to have to hard reset my Xbox One. After the reset I can exsplor but same as before my world in gone.
Tried again 3 times today.
First try, stuck at 0% converted until it eventually gave a failed error.
Second try, stuck at 0% converted for over 4 hours.
Third try, stuck at 0% converted for a few hours and crashed.
Previously, it would get up to around 60% before it crashed, now it doesn't get passed 0%. Either way, still haven't been able to convert a world, including copies of the world I made over the past few weeks (so they should be fully synced with the cloud).
Man, Im slightly relieved and also concerned others are still having this issue, I also have tried everything, beta, upgraded my internet, bought the xbox one x, copied my save & deleted almost all chests, torches, entities, still it only makes it to 43% conversion then crashes. My world is over 5 years old and I put 6 years of architectural study into it too, now my 100,000's of work is in jeopardy do to this, I am not even building anymore until they fix this, for fear of just making my world that much harder to convert. I don't even know what to do with myself anymore, I have sacrificed so much to create this.
Thanks for your patience with this, as I mentioned to another having a similar issue, world conversion has been worked on extensively by the development team, and most players are finding that their worlds are now converting over correctly. (See MCPE-25354)
Whilst many of the problems have been overcome, there are obviously still some triggers remaining that are causing issues.
Some of the community have found the following things can help with stubborn world conversion issues:
I had 5 shulker boxes in my ender chest. I took them out and emptied the contents into regular chests. Everything stayed in the same chunk, didn't get rid of any contents, didn't get rid of the shulker boxes, I just emptied them and put them on the ground. It converted just fine the first try.
Removing any villagers that have trades that aren't available in Bedrock (ie curse enchants)
i ran a couple experiments with a xbox one world. first thing i did was transfer it, worked fine. next thing was i got about 3 double chests full of shulker boxes full of stuff. it failed that time. after that i split up the shulker boxes into just a single chest worth of them, moving them about 300 or so blocks away from each other. then i moved to an area where none of the groups were loaded. after that it did transfer properly.
It might be worth noting that some players have found that removing chests of enchanted books has helped with the sync/conversion issue (see comment here)
As always, be sure to make copies of your worlds and be careful not delete legacy saves by mistake!
I "Successfully" Transferred my world yesterday. This was the FIRST time since the new version came out that I've gotten it to transfer. It's a 5 year old survival map packed with chests and shulker boxes. There are a bunch of problems though. We made a copy and went into creative, then got rid of EVERY single chest, shulker box, and any villagers. Everyone that played emptied their End Chest too. Basically we attempted to purge the map of any items inside chests. It worked. None of us wanted to try to get all our stuff back though. Hopefully this information helps. We definitely missed a few chests but we think there's some kind of soft limit to how much stuff a world can have for it to be transferable, and ours definitely is way over the limit. I'd much rather prefer waiting 2-3 more months than ruining half of our world. Hopefully they are still working on this! My friends and I are trying specific things like removing enchanted books to removing only shulker boxes. Thanks for the advice @Mega_Spud. I'm going to wait a few more months in hopes that I can keep all my items. But at least I know there's a way to convert my map if I have to!
Thank you for your report!
Crashes such as these are logged automatically, and will be looked into further by the development team.

Same thing happened to me. My world is only 16.0 MB. There is no point in playing this version if I cannot convert my saves. I was optimistic about the new version but now I'm not.
