Ditto. I had just started trying the Nether in my Survival Easy world a few weeks before, and had learned to handle some Ghasts : In a new area you might encounter 1 -3 Ghasts, clear them, and then you could work for 15-30 minutes before having to fight them again. I updated my MC for Windows 10 from 0.15.10 to 0.16.1 on 7 November. After the update, unexpectedly, personal settings like Render Distance, Mouse Sensitivity, and Auto Jump had been changed. Also, it turned out, the update changed the world setting from Easy to Normal. In that condition, Ghast attacks were common; 3 successive groups of 3 ghasts each is routine, but groups can have up to 5 ghasts. You may clear an area, but can expect another attack in 3-5 minutes. But Listen : that does not change if you set the Difficulty to Easy. Peaceful is correct, but then setting to Easy brings back the Difficulty level described. I even tried several times to back up the world to before the update, and to make sure to change the world difficulty to Easy in a separate session of Minecraft W10 before ever actually playing the world (just edit the world Difficulty to Easy and exit Minecraft. Restart the PC), but the difficulty seems too high : on Easy it plays like it did when the update had set it to Normal. The Overworld might also be NOT Easy on Easy. There seem to be more monsters.
