before the update i would go into the nether and maybe see 5 ghasts in 30 minutes. after the update they are spawning like crazy. being in for 2 minutes and beung attacked from all sides by 4 or 5 ghasts at a time. and once they shoot at you they disappear into the mist and can still shoot at tou feom there even though you cant see them. they are spawning in small places and gwtting stuck including the cave that my portal is in that is well lit and only 3 blocks high. i poet into the nether and immediately get attacked by a ghast before im even able to move out on the portal. they are the nether equivalent to hiw broken rabbit spawns are in the above world except they make it impossible to do anything in the nether other than die repeatedly...

I can confirm this, I walked into an area that had 6 ghasts, I was able to kill 5 of them but before I could get the 6th, another 5-7 had spawned. I killed all but 3 of them when another bunch spawned. While I can handle the ghasts, others on my realms server cant. It makes it near impossible to build/expand a neither hub and traveling the open in the neither has become extremely deadly.
Windows 10 Beta Edition 0.16.0

Same here for Minecraft Pocket Edition on a Dell venue tablet. KitKat Android 4.4. This only seems to Allen on realms for me though. They are impossibly difficult
Confirmed, ghast spawn rate seems excessively high, and I can quite often hear their hurt sounds presumably as they've spawned in tiny spaces and are suffocating.

Ditto. I had just started trying the Nether in my Survival Easy world a few weeks before, and had learned to handle some Ghasts : In a new area you might encounter 1 -3 Ghasts, clear them, and then you could work for 15-30 minutes before having to fight them again.
I updated my MC for Windows 10 from 0.15.10 to 0.16.1 on 7 November. After the update, unexpectedly, personal settings like Render Distance, Mouse Sensitivity, and Auto Jump had been changed. Also, it turned out, the update changed the world setting from Easy to Normal. In that condition, Ghast attacks were common; 3 successive groups of 3 ghasts each is routine, but groups can have up to 5 ghasts. You may clear an area, but can expect another attack in 3-5 minutes.
But Listen : that does not change if you set the Difficulty to Easy. Peaceful is correct, but then setting to Easy brings back the Difficulty level described. I even tried several times to back up the world to before the update, and to make sure to change the world difficulty to Easy in a separate session of Minecraft W10 before ever actually playing the world (just edit the world Difficulty to Easy and exit Minecraft. Restart the PC), but the difficulty seems too high : on Easy it plays like it did when the update had set it to Normal.
The Overworld might also be NOT Easy on Easy. There seem to be more monsters.

In my realms world I just saw 4 ghasts spawn in the same spot, then push each other away due, I'm assuming, to their collision box. When they had stopped moving all 4 of them started firing at me

Please reply if you're still able to reproduce this bug in the latest beta build (1.0.0.0).

Why ghast spawn not random like ghast has own territory instead which cause abnormal ghast spawning.Proven in large area,in certain place has low rate spawn ghast but others very large amount rate.
@Adrian Östergård As of the latest beta build, I cannot reproduce this bug
