I have the same issue IOS 1.17.10 using a BDS 1.17.10 world.  Zombie villagers just push mine carts around instead of getting into them

Yes. It’s still an issue. I suspect it affects all players on tablets and touch screens as it is impossible in survival mode to jump and then fly from flat ground using elytra and rockets in the same way that windows 10 keyboard (and Java) do.  This limits the use of Elytra and restricts the mobility of the in game play as work around a such as pillaring up, elytra launches etc have to be constructed.

Mojang should dump the enforcement of having to have a Microsoft XBOX Love account. I don’t have an XBOX, I don’t want a XBOX, so why am I forced to create an XBOX Live account for my child to enable her to play Minecraft with her friends (on my home hosted server - so highly secure).

Not working again this morning. 1.14.1. Latest IPAD Air and latest IOS.

Mine now works on 1.13 2 update - After following Greg Ericksons advice on moving the iPad minecraft storage to the cloud and then relaunching minecraft.

Still crashing within 1 to 2 seconds of tapping the icon. mojang splash screen appears the a second or so later it crashes.

Once this has eventually been resolved, will there be any compensation to cover paying for a realm that is currently not usable?

Not true Ryan. I’ve stated several times in the chain of comments that my iPad is an IPAD Air 3rd generation (2019 model) running the latest IOS. Therefore it’s the newest IPAD Air available and the current IOS.

Updated to 1.13.1 on iPad Air 3rd generation (MUULL2B/A) IOS 13.1.3 and still instant crash.

Not true about all IPADs being effected. My iPad Air 2 (128GB, WiFi only, approx 4 years old) works ok as does my iPhone X (latest IOS) but my daughters IPAD Air 3 (latest 2019 version) doesn’t work - crashes almost instantly. Both running lasted IOS.

It is could be to do with the graphics, as Roblox appeared to have a similar issue in April this year with a software release - took them about 3 weeks to fix it.
