Same issue for the past few weeks. Here are a few notes to further the investigation, hopefully. I have three accounts (mine plus two kids) on each of my three PCs. This bug happens on all PCs. All are using Launcher version 2.1.5964. No log files as of yet.
When the Launcher opens, it attempts to sign in with the account name previously used on that particular PC. This attempt fails and kicks the Launcher back out to the account listings still "saved" on the PC. Usually this list is missing the account that failed to log in, as well as one of the other accounts (random as to which disappears).
If there is an account still listed, when this account is selected the Launcher fails to log in and throws an error message stating that the login failed, please try again. Subsequently, I can then log in with any of the accounts we use without a failure, which then brings me to the normal Launcher screen.
I am also able to add all accounts back to the account listing within the Launcher, and they remain in this list until the next Launcher login failure.
