On my end, after updating to 1.16.100 (1.16.10004.0), I no longer experience crashes on log in to XBL
For the noted possible solution, I have not migrated my email address, so that seems unlikely to be the cause. As it is quite a hassle to clear my credentials and resync them, I would rather a better solution be found
Edit: Performing the account removal did not work
FWIW I did use the search feature and could not find a similar issue after 3 pages of results. I know it's annoying to open duplicate issues, but JIRA's search often leaves a bit to be desired (And my company uses it too, so I use JIRA daily)
I will add some notes to that issue as the proposed solution there does not work
I've also had this issue a bunch, and I think it may have just claimed my Dragon Egg, which I can never get back
Further testing suggests that the bug relates to XBL services. If I stay logged out of XBL, the game does not crash. Shortly after authenticating however, the game will crash.
