Maybe (if there would be such an option), Microsoft could remove our game from the library and give us codes to activate it again. Maybe that would help.

If possible, could you please include details about your system (RAM, CPU, GPU spec).
If you like you can run dxdiag and copy the relevant information from there. (Win+R → dxdiag) - be sure to remove any personal information, just the PC specs would be useful.

Also, to help us investigate this issue further, it would be helpful if you could also send a message to Mojang Support with your Gamertag and a screenshot of your profile screen, by going to Minecraft>Settings>Profile, scroll to the bottom and take a screenshot of the IDs shown there. (Please do not share those here at the bug tracker.) Please also mention this bug ticket reference.

Multiple reports and comments trace this issue to the user changing the e-mail account associated with their Microsoft/XBoxLive account. It seems that changes to the Microsoft account do not sync in a reliable or in a timely way with the account details stored for the gamertag within Minecraft.

From duplicate report MCPE-101960:

I have found the solution to this issue and could help many others who run into this issue if you are migrating email accounts.

SOLUTION: Assuming you are on PC, make sure that you have logged out and completely removed your microsoft profile from your PC. Log back into your PC with your microsoft account and make sure that on the microsoft marketplace your new email is shown and the same goes to the xbox companion app.

My issue: after a breif conversation with a microsoft tech agent on chat, we were able to find out that I was missing the (Xbox Companion App) which corralates all API's purchased on your microsoft profile to the games or in my case Minecraft to login and work properly.

I have downloaded some sort of new Xbox app for microsoft and that helped.

For the noted possible solution, I have not migrated my email address, so that seems unlikely to be the cause. As it is quite a hassle to clear my credentials and resync them, I would rather a better solution be found

Edit: Performing the account removal did not work

Hi there, just dropping by to say I am having the exact same issue, Bedrock (Win10) plays fine as is offline but when I click sign in a small gray window (I am assuming the sign in prompt) appears for a second and the game crashes. I have tried everything from reinstalling the game, cleaning cache, resetting MS Store. trying to sign in with and without the Xbox app. Launching the game through the Minecraft launcher, from the start menu and through the xbox launcher and none of them fix it. This is very frustrating as I can't play with my friends online otherwise. So please a proper solution or a fix through an update would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Please reopen investigation into this issue!
