Coming across the same thing. Trying to place signs with a single number on them for an inn ( " 1 ", " 2 " etc) and the number just disappears when I exit the editing interface.

Same issue here. Launcher fails to connect to Minecraft Services and cant verify what I own. I tried logging out and logging back in, reinstalling the launcher, resetting the wifi, no luck.
