Ok, world was created after 1.11 and was created before 1.11.4. (The Bug Fix) There are no cats in the village and some random villager yesterday walked from his village to the other side of the map to my village and immediately Changed his profession upon arrival. I don’t know why sometimes they work but other times it doesn’t. Nothing changed in the village except the villager himself. (Neither are nitwits or were at anytime. Hope this helps.

What is wrong with this? He has a bed and a composer but he isn’t taking the job. Picture added with the others.

I tried it with one bed and it didn’t work. That’s why I added a new bed to the villager house. It doesn’t work unless there is a house with a light source and a roof and a wood door. But 2 work stations and one bed as well as one work station and one bed were both tested and didn’t work unfortunately.

Nevermind. Doesn’t work with multiple villagers. Only one. Both have their own beds and own stations.

Using a bed makes it work but why is a bed needed on bedrock but not on Java? Shouldn’t they be the exact same system?

Yes. 1.11.4 is also an affected version. The fix does not help villagers gaining their jobs.

After some testing, I can happily report that this farm design does work as long as it has oak doors and it is built >120 blocks above ground level. I believe that there may be a bug with doors as only oak doors seem to work, but overall I can report that after hours and hours of wasted time, I have created an igf that does work properly in 1.5.3.

idk, this farm actually works but the others don’t. But they should though. Plus it seems like Thomaz picture also shows this strange bug/glitch, whatever you want to call it. I’m almost finished with my ig farm in my survival world and will most likely complete it tomorrow. There is no reason it shouldn’t work as it is well far enough away from any doors. I’ll update you on that tomorrow when I finish and test it.

Is this a farm that will work? Picture added in with others.

Quick Question: Will an ig farm work if it’s right above a village? Keep in mind the farm is over 100 blocks away vertically. Will that work or does it also have to be horizontally?

Yes, I did swich doors back and nothing. And thank you Thomaz for the image, it’s great to know that 1.6.0.30 also has this issue.

I appreciate your help, and the survival world was made in 1.5.3. I still have to test it in the survival world but it fixed itself in the creative world when I replaced the spruce doors with oak.

Could you send a picture of the whole farm? Id like to replicate it and see what happens.

Ok. I’ll give that a try. So why do they not work if built in creative? Why just survival?

Ok, so it works great on survival and ok if built in creative but it doesn’t work with spruce doors. That’s what I’m getting from all this research. Now Daon, how close is your house to this farm?

Daon, what doors did you use in your igf out of curiosity?

So https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MCPE-33751 is a bug that detects doors too far down vertically. Is there any chance in the world that fixing that bug could help with the igf issues? When I dug straight down, I ran into a ton of doors that shouldn’t be counted as a village but if there is a bug, then I could see how they may be an issue.

I added the photo. There may be a few but that’s only because it failed to upload and then it uploaded anyway. Works a little bit with oak doors but not with spruce doors.

It could resolve the issue in the survival world aspect of it due to the underground strong hold. I haven’t explored it yet so I’m not aware of where all the doors are. However, I built the ig farm recommend by MD in my creative super flat and nothing spawned. Then, I switched the doors to oak and about half an hour later, they started spawning finally. All I did was change the doors. Why would that farm only work with oak doors?

I built one between the villages too, but mine was out a bit farther in the water and nothing spawned. Again, I used acacia doors which haven’t worked for me in the past, but maybe there was some stronghold there or close enough to it. Eyeth, could you please post some pictures or even a turorial of a tower IGF like you recommend for me? I’d like to get an idea and test it out.
