Bug confirmed using Freshly installed Windows 7 testing virtual machine
Was able to launch and play Minecraft using both 1.6.67 launcher and new 2.0.757 launcher
Installed ByteFence and reinstalled minecraft which caused a windows crash to desktop immediately upon hitting play - Event details pasted below
