I have a workaround that has worked on 3 devices in my household. 1. Make sure Minecraft is NOT open. 2. Change the devices' date (in settings) from automatic to a little while before the bug - we chose June 18th. (if you change it back to auto the issue may recur) 3. Turn off the devices' internet access (both Wi-Fi and mobile data) 4. Open Minecraft. 5. Open settings from the title screen, goto Profile. 6. Sign Out of Xbox live. -------------------------------------------- Additional steps to play xbox live: 7. Re-enable the internet. 8. Click 'sign into xbox live' 9. Click 'add account' (DO NOT click directly on your email if it's already listed) 10. Login using your email and password. (if it errors just try again) NOTE: You must have entered your password in the step above for Minecraft to work while on Xbox live. If you accidentally logged in another way, go back to step 3.
It may sound long-winded but as long as you follow the instructions word for word, it works for as long as you don't put the date back to automatic. This fix has continued to work on all devices I've done it on since I did them yesterday. You can always repeat the fix.
Good luck, hopefully it will be fixed properly soon.
