You don't need a ramp, you can just stack minecarts on a one block track, then push them off. If are pushed off a high tower, they will gently float down, slower, and more horizontal then a regular minecart.
This is different, without a slope, and dosn't float in evry direction.
It might be that when the camera reaches a certain point it automaticaly reverts to 1st person.
