Andesite is a type of stone,
Much like all stained glass is just "stained_glass" instead of "blue_stained_glass" etc.

"2. Removing the unnecessary S could ever so slightly boost the available memory (about 5 bits) to play the game. Doing so would allow more users, who are just on the brink of being able, to play the game. This of course could boost sales giving Mojang more resources to further develop this great game."

Wut. 1 letter is 1 byte (8 bits). That is no where near what is needed for a single player.
A single player can use up to a few megabytes (1 million bytes).

Also a simple google will show http://www.learnersdictionary.com/qa/which-should-you-use-toward-or-towards

Although this is a question that confuses many, the answer is simple: Toward and towards are completely interchangeable, so you can use either one whenever you want.

That is intended.
Transparent textures require the gpu to do a lot more work.
So by switching to fast from fancy, it will downgrade to be drawing fewer transparent textures in order to lighten the load.

The game determines if a block is opaque. They probably of a list of transparent tiles, something like glass, water, etc.
If the block is suppose to be opaque, the game doesn't bother rendering blocks behind it (because you can't see them anyway).
This reduces the graphics rendering to be manageable by most computers.

It isn't really a bug/glitch, or a lack of feature. More or less something they put into the code to prevent peoples computers from melting themselves. If a block is suppose to be opaque it will be rendered as opaque even if the texture has alpha values on it.

I'm afraid this also happens to non-real players.
If you were to create a non-real player and run a command similar to that, it will output 0.

In some cases with my testing it outputs 4 or 7, or random numbers, sometimes a ?. This leads me to assume its related to the last single player user to be on. Not sure however.

They don't move until they have a target.
if you spawn many of them they'll just sit still until a player enters survival mode.

Have you renamed the item?
How many times have you previously repaired it?

Tools/Equipment aren't repairable indefinitely.

That isn't how masked works.
The command checks the entire volume (box) your'e cloning, that is 13000 blocks which is above the 4096 allowed.

IF you have under 4096 total block volume, the command will clone all non-air blocks to the new location.
This was done to prevent lag since the game still has to check all block spaces and see if they need to be cloned or not.

Lily pads turn the HUD green.
Windows 7, Java 1.7.0_25, AMD Radeon HD 7850
It isn't always, when you have another item selected by the cursor and you replace the lily pad that way it doesn't turn green, but if you just place the lily pad in the hot bar (regardless of which slot) it turns green.

EDIT: The glitch only happens when the item is the LAST item on the hotbar. So if there is a lily pad in slot 8, then another item in slot 9, the glitch does not occur.
EDIT EDIT: This glitch only happens when you have ONE of the items.
Some potions turn it purple.
ONE Vine turns it green.
Enchanted book turn it purple.
ONE Lily pad turns it green.

I was playing on a survival server, found this glitch and made a video before checking out the bug tracker.
