This did not explain why they were not burning, but the issue seems resolved in 1.2.5.15
My version is 1.2.5.13. That is a "Future Version" compared to any I can choose.
I do not have the invalid driver, and have received no hardware updates. The only thing that has changed is the Minecraft version.
