So I just realized today that when I created a ticket that got merged with this one that my comment was not automatically included. I reported this issue on 11 Feb 23 (copied in below). Like everyone else, I find it absolutely unacceptable that a fix has not been found. We never had any problems with Minecraft beyond a ridiculous load time when opening the game (20 minutes on average) until this save problem started. Last weekend my daughter played this same world by herself and it saved correctly. Several attempts prior were unsuccessful. Other worlds I have attempted to play have a 50/50 chance of saving correctly so we just haven't been playing. Everything on my PS4 is up-to-date. It seems to have started on version 1.18.??for us.
MCPE-167008 In a new world created about 2 weeks ago, we played multiplayer last weekend for several hours (1st time in this world) and when closing the game it hung on the Saving World screen. There’s no way out of this screen other than to close the application. When reopening the game it showed the correct date and there was also a save file with a screen grab of progress made. However, upon opening the world, it had reverted to the previous save point. This has now happened three times. When playing solo, the world appears to save correctly. Last weekend was on PS update version 2.55 and yesterday we saw the 2.56 update loaded Thursday. Then today have the on screen Minecraft 1.19 update announcement. We have tried waiting over 30 minutes each time before closing the game.
