here is the latest Launcher log dated 5/23/2022. Still same issue. Open launcher, push play button launcher window closes, several seconds pass and the following screen appears
if I click the close button and then the play button again 80 to 85% of the time the game will start. 15 to 20% of the time I get the same thing again and again.
[Helper] Jess Edward says they are tracking this issue... but my question is WHAT DOES ERROR CODE -1073741819 MEAN!!! that has not been addressed!!! in any of the comments in any of the issues that have been reported!!! That error code must mean something to someone, why else have software generate error codes if they don't mean something. The error code must point some where... is it software... is it firm ware... is it hardware... what????? this is not a duplicate since the issue was not ever answered in the first place.
Minecraft: Java edition is the only game I play and I have the latest 64bit java update installed as I have my computer set to auto update just to prevent issues with outdated software.
I have not tried to install an older launcher, I don't have the xbox app so that couldn't be an issue. As for the MS store, does one stay logged in if you close the browser with out logging out? If so that might be part of the issue. I don't typically use the MS store and I can't think of any apps that I use. I have windows set to auto update so that it stays up to date. I just tried booting the launcher in Beta and got the game crash screen with the error code -1073741819

I haven't tried launching from the MS store because I don't know how nor do I want to learn how because I don't see the point in doing so. I also have my graphics card setup for automatic updates so it stays up to date.
