I, too, have this problem with the exact model. My (hopefully) temporary fix for this was to just switch the "Attack/Destroy" and "Use Item/Place" functions to the default "Slow Fly Up" and "Slow Fly Down" buttons. :/
I was able to replicate this on both Android and iOS devices.
A little late, but I was unable to replicate this. I have tried almost all of the combinations between which device hots the server and who kills who and I never got the gray respawn button.
I was sort of able to replicate this on a Galaxy Tab 3 and 4th Gen iTouch. The passenger, the iTouch, would shake a lot, freeze, and then be disconnected from the server, yet it would seem as if they are still on the server from the "driver's" point of view, just inanimate.
I wasn't able to recreate this on a Galaxy Tab 3.Was this on a server?
I wouldn't necessarily call that a bug, but I do agree about changing it.
I, for one, was able to replicate this, but it this bug appears to only be present on iOS devices as I was unable to replicate it on a Galaxy Tab 3. It took a few tries to find it, but you are able to open the effect menu only if you click right beside the effect.
Perhaps they fixed it as I tested this in build 13 on my Tab 3, but I didn't see it mentioned in the changelog for build 14. I could be wrong.
Confirmed, as well with creepers.
I confirmed this for
RCA 10 Viking Pro running Android 5.0
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0" running Amdroid 4.4.2
