I just experienced this as well. I killed all 4 skeletons and rode the horses into a pen, then watched helplessly as all 4 horses died. I rode the last one til the end. It was dropping half a heart about every 30 seconds. There was no noise as the horses were losing health, and they did not drop anything upon death. This was the first time I've had them spawn in my survival world (that I've had for years) so I'm very sad I couldn't keep them. 😞 Windows 10.
I just had the same happen on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I had saved my game like normal, but upon logging back in, I started at the world spawn point without any items or experience. However, as the person above me suggested, completely closing the app and logging in again put me back by my bed (where I had left the game previously) with all my items and levels.
Success goes back !! (maybe because before I was in 4G instead of wifi ??)
But for the problem of the cake, I redid a cake, and it always disappears, I see it moving in my inventory ... and presto it is replaced by the empty seals. (I still had success)
