Happened upon a temp fix- go back to where it says play, settings and marketplace, click marketplace and minimize it, then click the app from “home” of your device, not the app bar (iPad). Works on iPhone too. 

This wouldn’t be so irritating if I literally wasn’t having to do it constantly, because the sound error, when the game gets minimized, it loses all sound. Only way to get it back is to restart the whole game.. that means I have re-activate the resource packs each time too.
