@Hamish Arbaster

Thanks for doing Mojang's work.

Can't Minecraft register horizontal scrolling that LWJGL 3 exposes to it and use it like it's a vertical scrolling?

@Jan G

Horizontal scrolling is an extremely useful feature. Also, like, like Hamish said, Minecraft before 1.13 could ignore the shift modifier key. There's no reason why it couldn't work again.

Search for « M1craft ». I can't post a link, apparently. My comment about that project was deleted. It's a good solution while waiting for Mojang.

They don't want to support M1, apparently, so it's not a bug and it can't be reopened.

Snapshot 22W13A affected.

Thanks for replying, and I understand it's not the only bug, but it's not a minor bug but a very important bug that greatly affects the gameplay and the building essence of Minecraft. Maybe it's more important than working on new features like frogs?

It's not a 2 month old bug. It's been more than 4 years and still no one assigned, you can't spare one developper on that matter to investigate the matter? That's why we are frustrated. Also, like I said, sneaking will have added values in 1.19 with the Warden so this bug will even be more prominent :/

EDIT: My question is, what if it was affecting the Windows version?

1.19 22w11a affected...

So this bug is resolved by saying it's a duplicate of a bug that has been resolved by « we don't support M1 » (i.e. « we don't care »).

The worst part is, that in order to resolved this, Mojang has almost nothing to do.

That was an easy fix.

So I gave a link to a open source project that is a simple launcher that does the job and the comment is removed? Mac Players : Google M1Craft.

It this bug isn't crushed in 1.19, we'll have a bad time for sneaking around the Warden...

I'm not exactly sure on how they do it, but since Mojang bundle their Java into the game, all versions should update at the same time.

I mean :
Confirmation Status: Plausible
What, it's only « plausible » that Apple switched to a different architecture?

They don't really care about Mac in general so... I won't set my expectation too high.

1.18 - Pre-Release 4 affected.
