Well, it would appear that we have arrived at version

[media]

(v 1.21.21) - other than the system asking me to download additional resource packs when I connected to my Realm (another great success!), when do the packs make their presence known?  Because beyond the additional resource pack requirement the doors, additional explosives, glittering portals have so far failed to um make themselves known.

Is this a problem with integration of the packs themselves or a situation with the absolutely poor documentation available on the Realms Marketplace?  Because you buy 'em, install 'em, and then you sort of wait to see what happens next.  The additional recipes should appear in your recipe book (they haven't yet) announcing their presence.  But so far they're not there.

On a quest to make these things work.  According to your "everything is fine" Marketplace they're supposed to work out of the box.  Money was paid.  Box was opened.  ...   ...   ...still nothing.

So, er, what's going on out there?

I just recently ran across an announcement in SportSkeeda claiming MineCraft Bedrock 1.21.30.21 was in beta - included some preview patch notes.  Apparently my familiarity with the decimal counting system bears no relationship to the Microsoft/MineCraft version counting system, so I have to ask: should I get excited about these upcoming developments?

Announcement attached to prove it wasn't necessarily an illusion or merely a projection of my wishful thinking.  😃

Thanks!

Thanks for the info.  The feedback is appreciated.  I'm a little confused though.  No, I'm kinda' VERY confused...

Last I checked (and the C++ compiler right here agrees) 1.21.2 == 1.21.20 - merely adding a zero to the hundredths place doesn't change the value.  Are you insinuating that we're actually looking at version 1.21.02?  You know that mathematically those placeholders are there for a reason, right?

Just here adding that this wouldn't be such a LOUD problem but Microsoft has the audacity to charge MONEY in the MARKETPLACE for these ADD-ONs.  And they don't work.  Correction: they STILL don't work.

Why do mods work in Java (for free, no less!), but Bedrock seems to be so far behind?

...and yes, the current version IS 1.21.20 - but we're not supposed to notice.

And no, the problem has not yet been fixed.  Nor has it "gone away" in time, as is the hype/hope.

Sorry - just trying to lighten the mood.  This has to be a joke, it just has to be.  They're charging real money for Add-Ons that when Added On don't function.

I might have to start posting warnings to prevent others from experiencing the same.

Adding that this is still a real problem.  Recently created a new Realm, purchased a few new Add-Ons, and routinely added them on.  They appear on my Realm settings page under "Add-Ons" as [Resource Packs] and [Behavior Packs] but appear to be inaccessible (as in not functioning) in the Realm itself.  Unless "Behavior Packs" means that the Realm "thinks" that they are functioning.

None of these add-on packs have ever appeared in our Realm, and none of them seem to function.  Players are wondering if I somehow missed a step?  List included for clarification: they were captured from the Realms setup page.

Is there something more we should do to make these things work?

Keeping an open mind, thanks!
