I recently started getting the issue on a world of mine that I converted after not having played it since before the Cliffs update. This is on a fresh minecraft install on a switch that had never run the game before.
I deleted some duplicate worlds and am now using a new world, but it's really frustrating that this is even a thing that can happen.
Either the limit needs to go up (If nintendo allows other games like Animal Crossing to use > 2GB, why not freakin' Minecraft!?), or there should be the option to have world size limits on weaker hardware.
Having infinite worlds is actually a minus when you can't go nuts with them for fear of locking yourself out of further editing.
