I bought a realm subscription to attempt to upload a copy of the world because that's the only viable way of doing it on PlayStation 5. But each time I attempted to upload it I would get an β€œan error occurred" message. The world is not uploading to the realm so I am not able to upload a copy but hopefully someone else in this thread with a similar issue can upload a copy.

An update I would like to add is this bloated file size bug is I am no longer just restricting me from copying the world. I am no longer able to load up the world and play on it either. I cannot create a new world either. All actions in game are completely restricted to me because Minecraft is convinced that this world is taking up 10GB of space when it is not more than 1GB. So I can't even play Minecraft anymore unless I delete my long term survival world which I would rather not do. I'm holding out hope that a bug fix can save my world.

It could be a corruption bug. After I contacted Mojang support they basically said there's nothing they can do for me because my world is likely corrupted.

I just had something like this happen to me when I joined a dedicated vanilla server I am running in 1.14 (was only player logging on and did sound like multiple strikes at once. I will see if I can reproduce the bug.

edit: I was able to reproduce the bug in 1.14 by starting a storm with commands on a server, leaving the server, ending the storm from the server console after about a minute, and then logging back in.

You might want to check again. It would seem that the servers were down (as I was having the same issue at the same time) and have since come back up.
