So far, I wanted to play Minecraft five times with my son, and two times out of these five, I struggled for more than an hour to get connected.
This time, it suddenly worked again after I uninstalled the "xbox console companion" and installed the xbox app. Before that, I tried restarting the game, restarting the router, restarting the computer, logging out and logging in again, etc... so I'm not sure if anything I did made a difference. In any case, I find it quite frustrating to pay a monthly fee for a service (realms) that is so unreliable. one would assume that Microsoft should be somewhat competent at delivering reliable services at scale...
