Okay.. I can live with the taking damage when in a non-solid block, but somehow, since 14w06b (maybe earlier) I've started taking damage in every spot that isn't more than 3 blocks high when on a horse. 4 blocks high? Everything is fine. 3 blocks high? Death within seconds. With both solid blocks as blocks such as leaves.
Did the height of horses change all of a sudden?
I can see why the change is made to taking damage when in a non-solid block. But I really think the solution shouldn't make horses an even greater pain to use! Horses, arguably the main feature of the 1.6 update, have become more useless, rather than less.
I really think this shouldn't be marked as 'working as intended'.
@Ken McFarling..
You're a lifesaver! Thank you!
Really weird that adding that to the command-line makes so much difference.
It's weird.. I did change that. I'm sure I did and it didn't seem to make a difference.
Hmmmm, well.. Maybe I didn't do something right. Everything is back to normal now.. 180+ FPS now.. Thanks for the help! 🙂
Indeed, from running MC on a laptop.
I checked this too and however I did somehow ran MC through integrated graphics, changing this to my nVidia card didn't change anything.
Changing settings around didn't help either. Just a very minor improvement by switching the render distance to tiny. Barely noticeable, though..
I can back this too.. Changing any of the settings doesn't seem to make ANY noticeable difference. A minor increase of a few FPS by lowering the render distance from normal to tiny, but hardly noticeable.
The issue is that when you shift-click on the rocket in the first screenshot, it creates the 16 firework rockets with effects and then instantly(without any extra click) creates blank fireworks from the remaining gunpowder and paper. Effectively wasting the gunpowder and paper in the proces.
What I would've expected to happen was that by shift-clicking the 16 rockets with effect would be created. And after that the client offers the new crafting recipe.
I've been trying to build a system that detects the player using spiders. However, the spider refuses to try to track towards me unless provoked (by punching) or standing virtually in them (even when the rooms completely dark). And even when provoked, the tracking is limited at best.
The system I've been using comes from a Youtuber (Red3yz), so I asked him if I did something wrong, or that it had something to do with one of the recent changes. He loaded his working system in the latest snapshots and confirmed it indeed stopped working.
I then verified it myself aswell by loading the system in 1.7.2 and there the spiders starts following me immediately. In 14w06b? The spider just stares at me occasionally.
Probable cause are the AI changes a few weeks back.
