On PS4 can confirm that kid was playing for quite some time without any issues, but this issue popped up about a week ago or so. Randomly when he goes to load his world the eggs in all the egg storage boxes and everywhere are black with "Spawn" as the label. He can't spawn any new dinos. Even in creative the eggs aren't there in the list.
I've also seen that in the very first case I couldn't also create a new world, while attempting to create from template it failed. I removed the DLC and re-downloaded and after that could create a new world, but the problem re-appeared soon after. Often then also the icon of the world template is a purple/black pattern instead of the Jurassic World icon. If I try to remove it it pops up as correct logo etc and I can create a new world, but it's a temporary solution (1-2 days).
I haven't tried removing all of Minecraft and then re-downloading the DLC yet, but looking how prevalent vis-a-vie platforms this issue is, then I'm not sure it'll help... Game unplayable due to this bug.
