Thanks for the fix. It appears to be working on my Realm where I have multiple portals. Not only that, all the loot I had lost due to suffocating in the portal has reappeared next to one of my portals (not the one I had gone through at the time). So I have my enchanted diamond armour back!
Cheers!
I've posted this elsewhere, I too have had issues recently with nether portals. I have a realm with several maps explored most with Nether Portals so I can travel quickly across the various maps. I started randomly appearing near distant nether portals several maps away from where I'd been in the nether.
One time time I appeared in the overworld with no portal visible but when I stepped back the way I entered the overworld I was taken back to the Nether. Then upon re-entering I appeared in the same overworld location but this time with a portal.
Next time I went through I died in the portal and lost all my equipment.
I'm now traveling light when using the portals so I don't lose my gear.

I'm having the same issue with Windows 10. I have a realm with several Nether Portals spanning several 4/4 Maps. When going through one portal I can be transported several maps to the wrong location. On one trip I recently died during transportation and lost all my gear. Went back to the location in the overworld and Nether but my stuff was gone.
We have the same issue. Minecraft App gets to the white screen then returns to iPad home screen (current date 04/11/2019)
Hi. Since the latest update my son is able to play on his iPad but NOT if connecting via WiFi to a realm or join a friends world over the same network. I have reset all the iPad network settings and re-joined our WiFi as per instructions I found online. Other games etc work fine while online but Minecraft crashes. Minecraft loads and allows him to play on his own worlds but over a WiFi network he can join the realm or world but after a few minutes he gets kicked off.
