Most likely the same bug. Planting crops by holding down right click seems to work for a few seeds, but then randomly stops. After that you have to re-click.

I have not verified whether Louis's suggestion works because it causes other issues with the design in question and I cannot replicate in a simple test world.

The freezing appears to be less frequent if I clear all app cache, wipe cache partition, and in developer options don't allow background apps to run. Also using airplane mode while playing. Sprint 4G Samsung nexus s unrooted.
