still is an issue to me on my ps4 restarting does NOT work

Also got this problem with some weird results. Light levels are stuck at 15, but it only seems to be a single chunk. Tried restarting the game, but no luck. During the night there are shadows, but it's still at light level 15. This happened when I had slept in a bed, alt tabbed out, then came back to the game only to find the light glitched.

If you leave a resource in the slot of the beacon and log out the game eats up that resource without any benefits. Although I somehow did manage to get a beacon to work once and only once. It wasn't immediate and only work when I updated to 14w32a and logged back into my test world (update is probably irrelevant). I've tried recreating this odd situation, but haven't been able to. So it seems like the actions of beacons only apply when loading up a world, but it's only by chance do you actually get the auras.

I ran into this bug with a brand new beacon and got the same results. Tried loading a new world in the most recent snapshot and the beacon still refuses to work properly. Switching to an earlier snapshot fixes the beacons. Pretty sure this is because beacons aren't identifying that the player has placed their payment in the slot. So the aura deselects and the payment remains in the slot.

Cannot seem to recreate this in a new world. Tried depleting my Food Level all the way, eating Zombie Flesh, and other things that I did recently before this issue occurred in the world it originated. Even though I couldn't find a trigger I did find that exiting the world seems to fix the issue, but that might require logging into a different world. Not too sure about it, but if it comes up again I'll have to test this as well.

Coming back from a quick test and my Saturation Level did deplete on it's own without any movement. I'll test in a brand new world because I have a few theories I want to break.

I am playing on Snapshot 14w11b using the 1.3.11 Launcher and I am getting the same issue. I've only noticed it recently. It started when I went to a desert and started collecting a bunch of sand and sandstone. Since I was clearing the blocks so fast my Food Level drained quickly and I had drained it for the first time in that world. Now I run out of hunger when standing still but only when all of my Saturation Level run out it seems. I'll have to test to see if it drains the Saturation Level as well, but my guess is that it does not.

I will have to check the Chicken Jockey theory, but from what I saw that wasn't the issue. One thing's for sure is that the spawn rates are very finicky and inconsistent. I'll have to look into this for sure though.

Calling this a duplicated issue is wrong as the pictures show that I was in Hard Mode and not Peaceful Mode. I wouldn't exactly consider this issue resolved even though I have improved mobs spawns. As I said before I've only gotten about 15-20 hostile mobs, but that is within a small radius of my character. Again, I want to point out this line in the Dev Console output that I provided: "22:40:07 INFO: Client> 22:40:07 Server thread/WARN: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 2102ms behind, skipping 42 tick(s)." An answer as to what exactly that is would be very helpful in understanding what exactly is going on as it seems extremely relevant.

The last line of text caught my attention when looking over the Dev Console output: "22:40:07 INFO: Client> 22:40:07 Server thread/WARN: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 2102ms behind, skipping 42 tick(s)." So mobs aren't spawning because I am losing game ticks?

I tried setting the render distance to 16, but it doesn't make a difference in hostile mob spawns.

EDIT: It actually seems to help a little, but the entity count still seems lower than normal. Seems it stays around 15 to 20.

The render distance is at 6 chunks. I've only noticed this issue just recently on my single player experience. Here is the Dev Console output from launcher startup to game start:
