we are waiting bravely for a fix since a month now. The issue came with the latest 1.16 update.
Environment:
PS4 1TB
game installed by PS4 store, online
Things tried: all that we can do as users. Except reinstalling which is no option for us. As we don't want to lose our gameworlds.
This is going on too long now, and no update is delivered. This issue is stuck in this situation. I'm also into software development, Can't you reproduce the issue at Mojang and debug it ?
How can we help you, do you have the possibility to create logfiles showing the issue that we can send to you ?

Environment: Playstation 4 1 TB without disk and VR
Update Mode of Minecraft: automatic
Since App was updated four days ago we are always stuck at the red screen on the same system. We also observed getting stuck at the previous grey screen also described in this ticket.
Things tried:
killing app, restarting
switching user account
rebooting PS4
noting helped
Is there a Logfile feature where I can send you more info about the problem

Tried again this hotke(s) combination. This time it worked for us. There are some things to obey:
Pressing must be done before the red splashscreen appears.
You have to be very fast.
I did this drill to achive success:
o end Minecraft app (kill app in pop-up menu) German text is "Anwendung schliessen" (Step 1)
o prepare fingers for key combination
o start Minecraft
o immediately after that use the keycombi
if the red splash screen lets you wait for mor than ~30 seconds, you were too slow
try again with (Step 1)
For us, this really solved all the issues we had since 3 months with the game. A one-time keycombi was sufficient. From then on the app startet normally, also without keycombi.
One more question for the development team: Why is this difficult keypress needed anyway cause I guess you know the issue if you tell us to use this "trick".
