I also have the same issue. The workaround in the description didn't work, and was a little unclear.
We logged in by trying to follow the various comments. After mashing left and right click on the realm and outside it, the window popped up, then clicking outside the window, the play button became clickable. This is after trying seemingly the same thing over and over. It seems that following the comments should eventually create a workaround.
