The fix version is 26.52 Hotfix. At the time of writing this that fix isn’t available on the UK App Store yet.
Mojang may have shipped the fix but they do not have control over Apple approving the version onto the App Store. Hence why the representative above suggested being patient as it rolls out.
Can’t believe how whiney some people have been on this ticket lol, as a developer myself. Some things aren’t a simple 5 second fix, especially when 26.50 which broke it in the first place looks to have been quite a major release.
TLDR: wait for the App Store to say the version is 26.52, UK one currently is on 26.51 still. Mojang cannot control when that occurs.
I am also experiencing this on an iPad running iOS18.7.9, I have attached the .ips crash file from one of the app launches which has the same behaviour as the original reporter. This did not resolve after updating to iOS 18.7.10 either.
The update appears to be available on the UK App Store as of checking at 1745.
I can confirm this resolved the issue on my daughters iPad.
