Have now downgraded to pre-release 1.20.3 pre-1, and server is running OK.
Troubleshooting: tried to rename the server.jar file; also tried to download the server.jar file from a different browser, but continued to fail to load/run the game. So I'm pretty sure that the issue is the jar file itself.
:
Note: I have downloaded from both the Minecraft launcher 'dropdown', and from the announcement on the website. Both files do not load the game.
Hello! We continue to see layers. Here's another screenshot.

Cory? I don't know if this helps at all, but I noticed early on (on the very first 1.14 snapshot last year) that the very FIRST entity that was throwing an error when booting up our server was the RABBIT (already exists). I ignored it, and did not report. But it kinda looks like that was the first glitchy bit? Dunno, but thought to comment nonetheless.

I had already up'd the server tick time.
We have been having LOTS of ongoing lag and crash issues with only a few people in the game. This doesn't make any sense.
We are also playing with 5GBs RAM, so I really don't get what's going on.

Having the same issue here ... which is doubly troubling as my builder cannot work as we construct our realm for our Mixer followers. We've tried to deop then op both while the player is off and on the server.Â
Next, I will remove the account altogether to see if he can rejoin and be reop'd.Â
Hoping this will be fixed soon!

We are also experiencing persistent NullPointerExceptions ... deleting our profiles does not help.
We have run into the same client-side issue here. I had an entire classroom of kids being kicked from our snapshot with the error message: Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException:java.lang.NullPointerException
At first it began with simply breaking blocks. Later I spawned in some parrots, and then all of the kids were kicked for either looking at a wild parrot, or trying to tame them. The tamed ones were fine.
I attempted to solve the problem by: replacing the jar file with a fresh one; removing all of the parrots; deleting all data files for individual players; rebooting the server multiple times. Nothing appears to be working.
We are playing on a new world generated in 17w14a.
Everything cleanly installed from my end. Still no idea what's up.
I can contact CreeperHost, to see if it's from their end, but unsure, as I have been manually installing my files here.
