REALMS-10030 Changes using /gamerule do not persist when a world is unloaded/reloaded Fixed

Umija5895M,

The description has been updated and I have also attached a video.  Please let me know if there is any other data I can provide.   Thanks.

Umija, I believe brett is talking about the command block output game rule which does indeed get reset along with all of the other settings accessible via /gamerule.  Which is extra annoying when players are seeing command block output when they shouldn't be.   Again, it is directly related to game rules reset.

Yes, everything prior to 1.18.10 was working.

This issue occurs on the Win10 version of Bedrock as well.  OPs can't invite people to my Realm.

I've run into this problem as well.  It would seem that any setting not controlled through the realm management screen gets reset after the last user logs off.

So if you change anything while in game by use of the /gamerule command, those rules will revert back to default if the world gets unloaded (either closing the realm or the last user logging off after a few minutes).

This issue appears to have happened twice today on my realm.  The usual unresponsiveness of blocks, can't open chests or doors.  Then disconnect and then it takes about 10 minutes before anyone can reconnect, and we find progress has been reverted anywhere between 5-15 minutes.

I'm experiencing the same problem.  The error message says nothing at all, other than there was an error.  I wish there was a more helpful message.   I'm also suspicious about backup and restore functions as the time it takes to restore doesn't exist.

It is the forced render distance of 4 that Realms restricts us to.   Unfortunately it isn't a bug as far as I know, and there is nothing we can do about it except complain.   I think it is designed to restrict us to 4 because of mobile players.

OR:  Feature request, give us the ability to ban anybody using a mobile device so we can have max render distance 🙂
