I presume that this is considered to be a feature request, then? Irrespective, those hyperlinks to the Discord server don't send me to an appliable channel, and I do not see any that permit FRs to be posted. Can you elaborate which I should post this in?

I'm aware of that. I reference it a few times. If you read the citation, this is the decision of the instance administrator, not Atlassian, the software vendor (they could change the default, but they shan't, so they allow the instance admins to decide in their stead).

However, it appears that URIs inside the posts are blocked, and trying to ascertain what's permitted activates slow mode each time, so it'll take a while.

I've uploaded https://bugs.mojang.com/secure/attachment/593049/2024-10-18%2000-37-00.mp4, which at least demonstrates that it doesn't occur in the initial download stage anymore. I'll test the rest later.

In fact, it's very resilient - changing networks and then back doesn't prevent it downloading whatsoever! It merely resumes as before.

@zTxrbq, it occurs in vanilla environments. The "The authentication are currently down for maintenance" from https://gaming.stackexchange.com/a/406240/225782 is a slightly different error message for a slightly different error.
