I upgraded my server to 1.14.32.1 and now things are working. Thanks!

I tried rolling back to 1.40.20 but it didn't help, so I think we can rule out the server upgrade. There must be a different factor at play.

Is the server storing a mapping of PS4/Xbox gamertag to player GUID in the game data? If so, is there a way to change or update that mapping? I couldn't see anything in MCCToolchest.

Nothing changed. I will try later this week to rollback and see if we get the same results.

Thanks for the tip! Took me some time to scp some stuff from linux to windows, but got it to work.

Before the upgrade, there are 3 users, and after there are 4. The user that had trouble was the one connecting from PS4. He was "player_server_fc2...244" and after the upgrade, the server assigned him a new data folder as "player_server_508...062". Added screenshots to original description.

Thanks for the reply! I didn't know how to look into the server data to check. I'll try downloading MCCToolchest and have a look. I have a snapshot of the data before I upgraded the server, and I'll compare to the current data to see if I can spot a different with how the user account is represented in data.

Thanks for the reply. Here is more information about my setup.

  • Server OS = Ubuntu 18.04.4

  • Server timezone = UTC

  • Server clock and my laptop are the same right now, so don't think it's an issue with the server clock being messed up

  • Bedrock is running on the "bare metal" e.g. not using a Docker container or Kubernetes deployment

Clients that work:

  • Minecraft for Xbox One (v1.14.30)

  • Minecraft for Windows 10 Bedrock (v1.14.1)

Client that isn't working:

  • Minecraft for PS4 (v1.14.30)

Do server and client need to configured for the same timezone?
