I know what I have and yes it is designed for gaming.
The graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050Ti. the machine is an Acer Aspire VX capable of 1080p in full HD.
And regardless of weather it is "designed" for gaming [which it is] – it easily outperforms the minimum requirements for Minecraft.
Wonderful.
Been having issues for ages and finding no clear way to diagnose let alone solve the problem.
same problem here too. I tried deleting the .minecraft folder, then every trace of the game and re downloading it, I even tried running a factory reset on mp PC and getting the game new on what is functionally a new computer.
But nothing worked.
Needless to say I'm more than a little unhappy about this.
Status update:
Recently tried updating my drivers AGAIN, Issue still persists.
Driver is up to date yet somehow the game will not display properly when started with dedicated graphics driver enabled.
