I've also done some testing and the following steps didn't fix it:
Open minecraft
Ensure account is logged in
Try accessing servers (see no ping/user count)
Open local world (survival or creative)
Immediately leave world
Try and fail to load server
Whereas the following did:
Open minecraft
Ensure account is logged in
Try accessing servers (see no ping/user count)
Open local world (survival or creative)
*** Spend around 30secs minimum in world ***
Able to load server
Spending time in the local world seems to be the solution, so there must be some networking initialisation code or something that isn't triggering in the switch client for some reason. Hope this helps!
