My boy has had the exact same issue since version 1.18. I've been pulling my hair out. I have watched video after video and read multiple forums.

Hi Folks, I had this exact issue today and wrecked my head trying to figure it out. The problem was caused by the password on the associated Microsoft account having been changed. The solution was to log out of minecraft and reauthenticate at this link - https://aka.ms/remoteconnect
