OK, got it now, thanks - that seems to have worked for me, happy child again.

@[Mod] GoldenHelmet - I don't think you can do that on child profiles on Amazon Fire for Kids, I certainly can't see how?  In the child profile you don't get the full Android settings.

Hi, this fix doesn't work for us, device is a Kindle Fire HD 8 Kid's Edition.  Minecraft works only under one of the grown-up profiles, not the kids profile.  Tried enabling the permissions for contacts and storage (from the grown-up account), still can't create a new world.  Usually get a message like "there was a problem loading this world" but sometimes the Create button simply does nothing when tapped.  Also can't seem to connect to or create a Microsoft account.
