Yeah, this is the same issue for me – if I delete Preferences it’ll launch once (playing a happy ghast video at startup), if I launch it again it’ll play the armadillo animation and then pop up the something when wrong error message.

I’m playing on a fully up to date Fedora 42 desktop, using KDE.
