Still happening for me. It's happened on both my solo survival and my survival realm. Neither use experimental features. However, i finally noticed that it spawns me at my world spawn on both, so at least I have been able to recover my items a few times. I play on Switch and Windows 10 edition, if that helps anything.

This has also been an issue for me in the game. I really love playing Minecraft, but it's super annoying to often die when I load up the game. It's led to me not even wearing armor or carrying anything more than stone weapons because of how often this problem occurs. I mostly play the game in shorter bursts on my switch (about 1-2 hours), and it's to the point where I'm not enjoying the experience anymore. I really hope this gets fixed soon.

This is still late issue as of 1.6.1. I've reinstalled the patterns pack (the one I've had the most issues with) multiple times, and it says there were no errors found when checking on it. If I try to load the game with it applied, it says that "The software has closed because an error has occurred". I would give an error code if I could see one, but there's nothing that I've found. If there's something I'm doing wrong and that's why it's not working, please let me know. Otherwise, I hope this issue is fixed soon. Here's a a screenshot of the resource pack page for reference.

This has been broken for about 3 months now. I'm trying to be hopeful, but the patches to the game keep coming and this still hasn't been fixed. Please fix this!

Removed all my texture packs to try and see which ones actually worked out of what I have. Mario, Holiday, Natural, Fantasy, and City all worked fine loading and playing the game. Candy pack would load, but when underwater the screen went black besides the HUD. The pattern pack crashed to home every time I tried opening the game with it enabled, which stinks because it's my favorite pack. These were all loaded through the settings, after deleting resource packs from settings. I figure it might have something to do with the aquatic update messing with some of the packs.
