The same thing happens to me!!! It gets stuck on the MOJANG screen for 30-60 seconds and gets stuck on the actual loading screen for about 3-7 minutes. Less than a second from transitioning from the MOJANG screen to the loading screen, the loading bar goes up to exactly 45% every single time. Then it stays there for about 2:15 minutes - 6 minutes. After that, it goes up to around 75% and stays there for another 30 seconds. Then it goes up to about 95%, stays there for about 10 seconds, and finally loads into the game itself. After loading, the background that spins around jitters, and then runs smoothly. After 1.16, going into character customisation and changing something made the game freeze, but that doesn't happen anymore in 1.17. The gameplay is still buttery smooth with all fancy graphics settings like fancy clouds turned on and with the render distance at 22 chunks (max on Bedrock) and Anti-aliasing at 8. My copy of Minecraft was a PS4 Edition that upgraded to bedrock edition. When it first changed from the ps4 edition to the bedrock edition (1.15), the loading time was 5 seconds. I did have two of my friends telling me that Minecraft took about 20-30 minutes on their PS4s when the PS4 edition first changed to Bedrock but I didn't have that problem; mine took 5 seconds. Then rolled around 1.16 and I started getting all of the problems I mentioned above. 1.17 has made it better comparatively (10-15 minutes loading time to 3-7 minutes loading time). At the time of writing this, these problems still happen to me. Hopefully, they get resolved. I haven't tried the L1 + R1 + L2 + R2 + Options + Touchpad thing (which I will when I have time). If it helps, I play on a PS4 slim 500GB.
