That's because you are in a biome where it starts snowing at a certain height (e.g. extreme hills)
ok, it's probably corrupt then, i created it on i think the first day when bedrock edition was available for xbox, so it's quite old. Hasn't been happening anywhere else. It's not happened to me in many months now, but i have not played very much on that world recently.
