I checked that the graphics drivers are up to date and re-installed Java (again) and none of these steps worked. The same problem still happens - when I click the plan button, it opens the game console window, shows the Mojang logo, then closes the game console window and returns to the launcher window. Since I purchased minecraft I have not been able to play it because of this problem. I would really like to play it but if it won't work on my computer I will need to request a refund. Please advise as to what other steps I can take to get it working.
