This issue happened for me as well. 1. This happened on my Realm with my friends. I play on Switch, Windows 10, and mobile. 2. All players were signed into Xbox Live, as it was a Realm. 3. No, I joined the world this morning on Switch. I logged off and then an hour later on the same Switch. The glitch occurred.
