It looks like the rendering of the fishing line between the rod and the float is momentarily very off. Does it later render normally (i.e. when float is on the water)?

I agree with Harvey, that the most sensible way of it working (and the way it mostly works now, with a few bugs, e.g. powered rails) is for the state of an activator rail it goes over, decides the state of the cart. This avoids having to place activator rails on every track where items should/shouldn't be picked up, but allows changing the state with redstone circuitry (by affecting the activator rail it passes over). So except for the cart stopping picking things up after passing over powered rails (as reported by Harvey), this works as expected (as I would expect).
We must reach out to Dinnerbone to find out the intended behaviour for the hopper cart.

Not just moderators, but Dinnerbone himself, no less.

It is an official block though. Just it is not used in survival, just for decoration. However considering how widely used this block is in creative builds, it is a pain to lose it (especially because compatibility is lost with earlier maps/builds using it).

Definitely intended. Think about it logically.
cart crash + explosive = boom

Am I mistaken or is the crash because of falling gravel falling onto falling sand or similar? (Based on crash report)

Sounds definitely like a bug then.

Retry with the newest snapshot (13w03a).

The supposed 'bug' is just that it is inconvenient to have the "player-on-fire" animation when in lava in Creative mode (because you aren't taking damage). I agree, and this has been unfixed in recent versions, I think ❓ .

It sounds like his client cannot load the terrain for some reason. Try running the server not through Hamachi temporarily to see if this is fixed.

I know, but I would like to see where the error lies. I believe you 🙂

By the way, Bradford, the 'Environment' section of the bug report refers to your computer environment and MC configuration (For example: Core i7, nVidia GTX660, Windows 7, Java 6.1, Singleplayer).

Tab key does not work properly in Minecraft on Mac. This has been confirmed as an LWJGL issue.

Yes, it would be helpful, but currently works consistently with other fuels (placing in slot, but not removing). Therefore this is expected behaviour to me. However, that does not mean I don't want it changed as much as you 🙂

What happens (screenshot for comparison) if you trigger the dispenser with a button directly?
