Insofar as I can tell the only way to reproduce this is to load a world and it will happen on occasion. I cannot create any conditions that make it certain to happen other than just saving and quitting the game (as in closing the software itself) and loading back in, but in my testing I have gotten this to happen 2 out of 5 times I opened any given world. If I get it to happen again I will try to get it on video.

To me it appears this issue is the same as MCCE-8490. They occur under similar circumstances and always seem to have the same result (see my posted comment in that thread for a screenshot).

Same problem here on Minecraft for Switch 1.8.1. I have attached the first thing I saw upon loading in.
