OK. Good news to report. Achievement finally decided to unlock for me. The only difference this time around was that I held down SHIFT when selecting the items from the treasure chest. Previously, I was just clicking and dragging the items into my inventory.

Not sure if that made the difference, but after numerous attempts, that's what sealed the deal for me.

Can confirm. Achievement is not unlocking for the Kindle Fire version.

As of version 1.2.9, this achievement still does not unlock. Only tested on the new Minecraft for the Xbox One though.

I'm not speaking for everyone, but even with the current 1.2.9 version, "So I got that going for me" achievement is still unobtainable for at least the Windows Phone and Kindle Fire versions.

"Beam Me Up" achievement is also bugged especially with the new Minecraft that's specifically for the Xbox One.
