Can confirm. I had this issue when the beta first launched last year. I haven't played since then (stuck with the Xbox One version.) Came back to test Realms integration and have limited audio. I can hear audio from music, the menu, and a few actions in game (picking up blocks, walking, water, and destroying dirt) but no mining sounds from any tool or when punching trees for wood. Animals have not made any sounds yet either nor any villagers.
